چکیده

Anastomosing hemangioma is a newly described variant of hemangioma that occurs primarily in the genitourinary tract, but can also be rarely found in other visceral organs, such as liver, adrenal gland, and gastrointestinal tract. Hepatic anastomosing hemangiomas have been rarely reported to-date in adults. Most cases are incidental findings during examinations for other processes. Here, we presented a case of hepatic anastomosing hemangioma arising in a 51-year-old man with the neoplastic endothelial cells containing numerous intra-cytoplasmic eosinophilic hyaline globules.

Anastomosing hemangioma of the genitourinary system: eight cases in the kidney and ovary with immunohistochemical and ultrastructural analysis.

We describe 3 ovarian and 5 renal anastomosing hemangiomas. One manifested with polycythemia, others were incidental; none recurred. The mean patient age was 58 years. Three hemangiomas developed in end-stage renal disease. Tumors were well-demarcated, mahogany brown, spongy lesions measuring 0.1 to 5 cm. Tortuous large vessels fed and drained tightly packed anastomosing sinusoidal capillary ch...

Anastomosing hemangioma of the kidney: a case report of a rare subtype of hemangioma mimicking angiosarcoma and review of the literature.

Anastomosing hemangioma is a recently described, unusual variant of capillary hemangioma which seems to be unique for the genitourinary system, with a particular proclivity for the kidney. Histologically, it is characterized by a unique sinusoidal architecture reminiscent of splenic parenchyma that can lead to concern for angiosarcoma. We herein report a further case of anastomosing hemangioma ...

Hyaline Globules In Ascitic Fluid In Primary Hepatic Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma

Undifferentiated Embryonal Sarcoma (UES) of the liver is a rare predominantly pediatric malignancy. Only one brief report of cytologic findings in ascitic fluid of a recurrent tumor is available. The characteristic eosinophilic hyaline globules (HG) with immunohistochemistry on fluid cytology, has not previously been documented. A 20-year-old male presented with ascites. Cytology revealed a spa...

Hyaline globules in mammary myofibroblastoma: a case report.

A 52-year-old otherwise healthy woman presented with a solitary firm mass in the right breast. Histopathological evaluation of the 1.5-cm mass showed a mammary myofibroblastoma of the conventional spindle-cell type. High-power examination of hematoxylin-eosin-stained sections showed round, eosinophilic, intracytoplasmic, as well as extracellular, hyaline globules. These 5- to 20-µm globules app...

Anastomosing hemangioma simulating renal cell carcinoma

The anastomosing hemangioma is a recent described rare variant, which histologically simulates an angiosarcoma and occurs primarily in the genitourinary tract. We present a case of renal anastomosing hemangioma from a radiologic perspective, describing its imaging features and reviewing its presentation and management.
